Amazonite Crystal Pearl Necklace
Description
Amazonite is the color of tropical shallows — that impossible turquoise-green where the Bahamas banks drop from three feet to three hundred, where the water turns from clear to a blue so intense it seems to generate its own light. The stone gets its color from trace amounts of lead and water trapped within its feldspar crystal structure — a happy accident of geochemistry that produces one of the most beautiful hues in the mineral kingdom. This necklace pairs freeform amazonite beads with baroque pearls in a composition that balances the cool blue-green of the stone against the warm white of the pearl.
Despite its name, amazonite is not found in the Amazon basin — the name comes from the Amazon River, where similar green stones were once discovered (though those were later found to be jade). True amazonite comes primarily from Brazil, Madagascar, and the Pikes Peak region of Colorado, where it is collected by rockhounds who prize the best specimens for their intense, even color. The beads in this necklace were cut from a single Brazilian specimen — which means their color is consistent, their energy harmonious, their origin traceable.
- Natural amazonite beads — sourced from a single Brazilian specimen for color consistency
- Genuine baroque freshwater pearls
- Sterling silver spacers and clasp
- Amazonite's blue-green color is entirely natural — no dyes, no treatments
- Nickel-free and hypoallergenic
Amazonite is traditionally called the "stone of courage" — not the courage of the battlefield, but the courage of speaking your truth in a room full of people who would rather you stay silent. It is associated with the throat chakra, with communication, with the boundary between what you think and what you say. Wear it on days when you have something difficult to express — a necklace as talisman, as support, as a small cool weight reminding you that your voice matters. Style it with white, cream, or the full spectrum of blues.
