The Hands Behind SENLORE
Every piece of jewelry carries a story. SENLORE was created from one simple belief: jewelry should not simply decorate the body — it should express identity, emotions, and the personal stories of the people who wear it.
SENLORE was co-founded in Brooklyn, New York, in 2016 by Ella Chen and Jolly. But their story began long before SENLORE. Twelve years ago, Ella and Jolly first met during Ella’s travels in China. What started as a friendship between two women from different backgrounds gradually grew into a deep connection built on trust, shared values, and a common appreciation for beauty and craftsmanship.
Over the years, they discovered a shared vision: to create jewelry that feels personal, meaningful, and timeless. Together, they transformed their friendship into a partnership and created SENLORE — not simply as a jewelry brand, but as something they could nurture, protect, and grow like a child of their own.
Ella studied Sculpture at Parsons School of Design, where she developed a deep understanding of form, balance, and the relationship between materials and human expression. Her experience at Tiffany & Co. further shaped her appreciation for precision, craftsmanship, and timeless design.
However, Ella realized that modern jewelry was gradually becoming disconnected from its original purpose. As production became faster and more standardized, many pieces lost the emotion, individuality, and human touch that once made them meaningful.
In 2016, Ella and Jolly began their SENLORE journey from a small Brooklyn studio, creating jewelry that feels intentional, personal, and unlike anything mass-produced.
Ella leads SENLORE’s creative vision — from design concepts to the smallest details of each piece. Jolly oversees the world behind every creation, including material sourcing, production partnerships, quality standards, and daily operations. Together, they combine artistic creativity with careful craftsmanship to create jewelry made to last.
